Meet the Fisher Farm Egg Production Team.
These eggs are extremely fresh and come from free-range chickens that spend their days dust-bathing, laying eggs, scratching for food, and gossiping. You will be able to tell the difference as soon as you crack them open. Mmm-mmm good!
In case you don’t know your chicken varieties, these are Barred Rock chickens. These are supposedly quiet -as quiet as chickens get- and cold-hardy birds, perfect for Maine. They are a cross-bred chicken, descendent of the Dominiques and were developed in New England in the middle of the 19th century; thus also called Plymouth Rock chickens. A rather picturesque chicken for that New England look.
